Recently, a friend of mine, knowing that I am anti-fur, asked my opinion on whether or not she should buy a vintage fur coat for chilly New York City nights. This got me thinking about faux fur. Maybe it isn't as warm as the real deal, but it's cruelty free, and will warm your shivering bones to their core.

I wore a vest to work the other day. Not a dorky, Jessie Spano vest. But, a cute, chic black one over a T-Shirt. I thought it looked cute. In fact, I got super excited when I saw my outfit in the mirror that morning.

But then, a coworker, who is five years my senior, made a comment that caused me to retreat to my desk and go vest-less: "You're wearing a vest. I used to wear vests in middle school. You're so retro."

At any rate, I've been doing my homework, because--and even though I've been absent from the blogosphere for a bit--I'm not ignorant to trends. Love 'em or hate 'em, vests are everywhere.
