Bluefly's Pre-Screening of Confessions of a Shopaholic - 2/12

Feb13

I was fortunate enough to attend a pre-screening of Confessions of a Shopaholic at AMC Empire on 42nd street, sponsored by Bluefly. I was ultra-excited for three reasons:

1) I was in good company. There were a number of fabulous fashion bloggers in attendance. It was a thrill to be included in the mix.

2) I am a huge fan of the entire Shopaholic series. I've read and I own all five books. I couldn't wait to see these books, or at least the first book, made into a film.

3) I was very impressed by Bluefly's promotion of the film, particularly on Facebook. I simply had to witness what kind of event Bluefly would put together.

All in all, it was a fabulous affair. The girls at the door were wonderful, and it felt ultra-exclusive. I loved the fact that I sat amongst other fashionistas who laughed at Becky Bloomwood's antics along with me.

Did the film live up to Bluefly's hype?

Although I do agree that the fashion played a minor role in the film, and I wish I could've seen more, it was still wonderful. I am very impressed that Bluefly recognized the potential in this film, and I feel they did a fantastic job of creating a buzz, not only for the Shopaholic itself, but also for their company.
