I guess I've always loved vampire stories (sans
Twilight), but it was in high school that I fell in love with
Buffy the Vampire Slayer. As Sunnydale's resident powerhouse,
Buffy Summers constantly struggled with being prophesied as the chosen one. Accompanied by her best friends, Willow and Xander, and her watcher, Giles, she had to face off against the evils of the Hellmouth, while arriving home before curfew.

Perhaps it was because she felt like an outsider as I did. Or maybe it was her inability to maintain a stable and mortal relationship. Whatever the case may be, Buffy represented the common internal/external conflict within most of us. On the surface, she appeared to be tough and unbreakable, while her (a)typical teenage struggles, like her romance with the brooding vampire, Angel proved her to be vulnerable.
Perhaps it's this duality that is also to responsible for her rocking fashion sense:
Buffy's look features a palette of femininity juxtaposed against pieces that were a bit more edgy. She often paired a soft dress or blouse with a leather jacket and knee-high boots. To accessorize, Buffy chose simple jewelry, usually a crucifix necklace or a claddagh ring given to her by Angel. She was fond of silk scarves (especially in seasons 1 and 2) which she wore in her hair or around her neck.
Toward the end of the show's run, Buffy's style transformed from girly to more sophisticated. Opting for classic pieces, with the occasional pair of leather pants thrown in, Buffy's look became somewhat timeless.
If Buffy were still traipsing around Sunnydale slaying vampires and monsters, this most likely what she's wearing:
