Recently, a friend of mine, knowing that I am anti-fur, asked my opinion on whether or not she should buy a vintage fur coat for chilly New York City nights. This got me thinking about faux fur. This past weekend, I took the 4 train to the Bronx on a quest to see the Yankees take on the Cubs in the new Yankees Stadium. Not only was it exciting to know that I was the second person to ever sit in my seat, but I also enjoyed the overall feel you get from going to baseball games.

For one thing, they remind you that warmer days are ahead. And nothing gets you in the spring/summer spirit quite like spending a day partaking in America's favorite pastime.

I put a lot of thought and care into picking out the quintessential all-American outfit this weekend. (However, due to overly windy weather, I realized I was ill-prepared as I stepped out into the bitter cold in a sundress, leggings, and a cardigan. No pictures, please!)

Once in a blue moon, one color stands out as a theme for an entire season. As I'm gearing up for the seasonal changes, and flipping through the latest issue of Marie Claire, all I can see is blue everywhere!

Typically, I associate blue with the oceans of summer, but the fashion world seems to be pushing for shades of blue for spring. And I, for one, am not complaining.
